POINT HOUSE

This project grew from a modest renovation to a 1990s brick dwelling into a complete overhaul of just about every facet of the building. The building is perched on the hillside overlooking Copacabana village and beach with some of the most enviable views along the East Coast of Australia.

The old brickwork was kept to form the external bones of the house and dressed in either stonework or rendered masonry to provide a much needed cosmetic upgrade from the outside, the roof was repatched in a flat roof style bring a very contemporary yet classic feel to the home.

Internal spaces were opened right up with large, often operable, glazing panels opening onto external terraces and decks and clerestory windows are utilised to feed light right into the heart of the home to provide spaces which are naturally lit, warm and enjoyable. Backyard was terraced and landscaped to make the most of the sloping site with a Pool and cabana topping it off to provide the ultimate in luxury and family living.
