STONE HOUSE

Nestled into a tranquil coastal bushland backdrop this stunning family home sits so comfortably within its surrounds. Purposely designed to embrace the surrounding landscape and capture sunlight, shade, ocean breezes and the natural beauty of the area, whilst still providing an intimate oasis for the occupants. With the owner being a stonemason it made sense to really capitalise on the natural beauty of stonework to create areas of interest and visually strengthen the connection of the building with its context. Expansive glazing and raked ceilings make for unique and articulated spaces and aid in the passive solar design of residence. Extensive use has been made of recycled hardwoods, stone and other materials chosen for their natural weathering properties
