Slater Architects is a Central Coast–based architectural practice with over 45 years of experience designing homes across Australia.
From our studio, we work throughout the Central Coast, Sydney, the South Coast, Southern Highlands, Newcastle, Port Stephens the Hunter Valley, and further up and down the East Coast of Australia—bringing a consistent, considered approach to every project, regardless of location.
This integration of design and construction knowledge underpins our reputation for delivering homes that are not only thoughtfully designed, but genuinely buildable. While we have a deep understanding of local planning controls and extensive experience working with councils and consultants, our greatest value lies in solving complex problems.
We are often engaged for sites that present challenges—where careful thinking and technical experience can unlock opportunities others may overlook.

- Waterfront and beachfront properties exposed to harsh marine environments
- Rural sites, including those affected by bushfire (BAL) constraints

Slater Architects provides a full architectural service, from initial concept through to completion.
Our work is typically structured across six stages, including:
- Stage 1: Pre-Design Services and Concept Design (hand drawn)
- Stage 2: Design development, computerised floor plans, elevations, sections and AI images
- Stage 3: Development Application (DA) documentation and lodgement
- Stage 4: Construction Certificate and Construction Documentation
- Stage 5: Interior selections and documentation (optional)
- Stage 6: Contract administration and project management of construction (optional)
Throughout the process, we act as your advisor—guiding decisions, coordinating consultants, and ensuring the design intent is carried through to completion.
