AVOCA APARTMENTS

These six residential apartments, completed in 2001, known as The Lighthouse emerge from the cliff formation to become part of the landscape. The edifice sits like that of a  rock ledge protruding from the cliff face to overlook the ocean below in an exciting artistic arrangement of functional shapes.

Ultra-modern, minimalist, architectural spaces are combined to produce an exemplary building dramatically perched as an extension of the escarpment.

Comprised of concrete, glass and masonry, these heavy and hard-wearing were intentionally selected for aesthetic reasons but also for the fact that they provide longevity and strength in a high wind and salt water environment.
