BEACH HOUSE 2

This beach house is designed as an element in a duo of two beach front homes on the Central Coast of NSW, 1hr north of Sydney. Created for the modern family each home is intended to be an individual resort tailored to form versatile spaces to relax, play, enjoy and unwind.

Design was influenced by view lines, use, orientation and the desire to reflect the natural coastal landscape in an elegant yet uncomplicated response. Seamless indoor and outdoor connection creates extended living spaces for entertaining and outdoor dining. Glazed ‘pop-out’ sections soak the internal spaces with natural light and provide natural cross-ventilation of the sea breezes.

The collective palette of materials includes Australian Bluestone, precast concrete, zinc, and stainless steel which were purposely specified in response to the harsh beach environment.
