MATCHAM HOUSE

This modern styled home is set upon a sun filled acreage in the semi-rural bush setting of the Matcham foothills. The Porte Cochere invites visitors to the property in a stately manner playing on the regal countryside feel of the area.

The dwelling intentionally juxtaposes the sharp lines of itself with the free formed organic shapes of nature surrounding it. This flows inside, with large stripped back spaces giving focus to the singular item such as the fireplace, the art works or a large panel vista window. The building acts as a backdrop to the living which occurs within it.

Material used: Rendered blockwork, Crazy pave stonework, Colorbond steel roofing, Marble flooring, Hardwood timber flooring.
