THE PINNACLE HOUSE:

The primary objective for the renovation of this a-frame home was to open the compartmental floor plan and create a better connection to the outdoors.

By flipping the floorplan and opening it all up, we created a light-filled living space that now flows seamlessly to the previously unutilised backyard.

The original first floor incorporated a master bedroom and a study. We moved the master bedroom to the ground floor, then extended and developed the first floor, which now features 2 bedrooms, a family room, and a bathroom. We also extended up into the ceiling cavity to create another level with a cozy and inviting loft space.

The interior selections feature natural timber and a crisp white colour pallet with skylights and extensive use of glazing allowing an abundance of natural light.

The previously underutilised backyard was updated with low maintenance landscaping and a tidy and functional outdoor entertaining space. The kitchen and dining area now flow onto a covered deck with an outdoor kitchen featuring a built-in-BBQ, bar fridge and privacy screens.

On the exterior, we wrapped the roof around to give it a veranda, which softened the façade. The coastal colour palette modernised the façade and generously improved the street appeal.
