SCENIC HOUSE

In the second stage of our ongoing collaboration with long-term clients, we’ve completed a second addition and renovation of the Scenic House, originally renovated by our team a decade ago.

With a growing family in mind, this new addition incorporates a dedicated parents’ retreat on an upper storey. The retreat features a luxurious main bedroom, ensuite, walk-in robe, and a private sitting room that opens onto an outdoor deck, perfectly positioned to capture the top-storey ocean views.

The initial renovation delivered a modern coastal aesthetic, and our latest work extends the footprint to enhance this theme while providing additional space.

Elements of stone, timber, and expansive glass maintain warmth and natural connection, harmonizing with the steep slope of the site and creating a sense of grounding. Wide expanses of glass frame the stunning ocean vistas, allowing natural light to flood the interiors.

Nestled on a steep site in Terrigal, this renovation optimizes the impressive coastal views and solar access. Raked ceilings in the living area, paired with feature high-light glazing, provide an airy, open feel, while the use of biophilic design principles and custom joinery throughout enhances the home’s connection to nature.

With multiple vantage points across each level, the Scenic House offers a variety of living spaces, each designed to fully enjoy the unique location.
